Bob the Builder

Emery loves Bob the Builder. Can't get enough of the guy (along with Elmo and Bob from Veggietales- something about the name Bob) :)
Recently, Bob the Builder came to SA but when I looked into the price of tickets- I fell to the floor in disbelief. The cheapest tickets that I could find PER PERSON were $79.00!!! Yep, you read it right... $79.00! Oh, they had other tickets that were higher priced.... Some tickets were $418.00 a seat! Come on! That's absurd!
Ode to Bob...

And the Oscar goes to...

I found this funny pic online from Chicago. While we were out shopping (imagine that!) on our last day, they had a promo for the Oscars airing that evening. We took a photo with an actual Oscar (those things are pretty heavy AND they had it wired down to the podium). Here is our funny pic...

Wedding

Clark, Elise, my Mom (Kristi) and I went to a wedding Saturday night. It was such a lovely wedding and even better catching up with "old" friends. Clark gave me the evil-eye because I took a pic during the ceremony- when did that rule come about? I didn't know you couldn't take pics during the ceremony?? The bride looked stunningly beautiful and very happy. I am excited for their new lives together. The brides father is a dentist but has a hobby of oil painting. He does a really great job and painted a portrait for the couple of their engagement pic. It was awesome! The grooms cake was really cool. The groom is totally a Texas Rangers junkie. Most of their pics together are at the ballpark. It reminds me of the movie with Drew Barrymore where she dates the guy who is a baseball/ballpark fan- Fever Pitch. Naturally her choice for the grooms cake was very fitting! It was an awesome looking cake. Best Groomscake that I have ever seen decorated! Way to Go Dondo!!

Please....

This past Sunday night the family went to Costco for dinner. Yep, dinner. It's not the most healthiest of dinners, but it is cheap and good. We get hot dogs, pizza and churros (yum... my favorite!) We went walking around the store before we ate and the kids fell in love with this outdoor wooden playhouse. They had a ball while Clark was looking at cameras (he didn't buy a new one because we just bought our finicky one last year). When we told them it was time to go- they asked us for the house... more like begging. Gosh, they learn that trait early in life.

So, any grandparents out there that are reading this.... the pic of the kids begging is for you. Pappa Clark said no. :)

Sister, Sister

On Thursday, February 26th, my sister and her two boys came into town from Fort Worth. Her hubby had already been down here at a conference downtown. It was super nice seeing my sister and her two little boys- Braden (5) and Landon (2). Unfortunately I didn't get that many photos of her boys - none of Braden :(. It was such a quick trip that the kids and I need to make it up there to visit them soon. Her youngest- Landon- eats "cuties" all the time. In fact, he eats about 7-10 a day that she got tired of peeling the skin off and now he does it all. :) So cute! He is 14 months younger than Huston and is almost a head taller AND weighs 6 pounds more than Huston. A couple of days before he came down he fell and busted his lip- hence the funky lip. Isn't my sister gorgeous?!? She just keeps getting prettier and prettier- it's hard keeping up!!

Here's what the kids did while I was in Chicago...

There was a train exhibit going on downtown. Clark (with the help of his father) took everyone downtown Saturday morning to see the trains. What little boy wouldn't have a field day??? (little boy, I meant any boy- young or old!)
