Pre-School Playday!!

During the summer on each Monday morning, our church has a Pre-school Bible Hour. They have music, story time and then they have stations throughout the room. The stations vary each week but they always have a craft station, a food station, a game station and so forth. This particular day the church decided to bring out the Noah's Ark bounce house. It was a BIG hit!! The food station of the day was chocolate icing with graham crackers... Another BIG hit!! Can't wait for next summer!

White's Night Out

The White and Allen families have a monthly date night. Since the kids get along so well with one another we have their kids over for them to enjoy 4-5 hours to do what they want. Typically we each go to a movie and then dinner. Here we have the kids winding down with a movie after being fed and then given baths.

Toucan

We went to the Library for story hour and listened to books about Toucans. Afterwards we were able to make Toucan hats.

Build A Bear

For the kid's birthday present, our friends J. and Will gave the kids an animal of their choice to Build A Bear. Of course it came complete with our friends accompanying us to the location. So, we met at B A B and had such a fun time picking out our choice of animal and watching/helping them fill our bear! Emery loved cleaning her bear- she was there for most of her time. Since B A B is at a mall, we went to the food court to have some lunch. The food court in in the second level which means that we had to ride up the escalator. My kids had never been on one so it was a new experience for them. When we were going up for the first time, Emery wanted to be held and then Huston wanted me to hold him as well. I couldn't even hold his hand because I was holding Emery and two B A B boxes (those massive "homes" that the animals come in). My friend Roxanne held his hand while her two boys were enjoying the ride up. It was so funny to see H's little knees wobble. They were shaking so badly- poor thing. After he went up and down once he was an old pro! He wanted to go again. Emery had enough, so I stayed and watched.

Huston's 4th Birthday!

On July 23rd, we had a family birthday party at the house for Huston's 4th birthday. He wanted a race car theme party, but it ended up with trains and cars. Oh well, they are all his favorites! Aside from my parents and Clark's parents coming over, his brother, Uncle Graham came to visit. He was in town for a golf tourney and joined us for the fun!

Little Gym

I know this is out of order, but we had another computer problem over the summer so I was WAY behind on my blogging. I plan on spending an afternoon to catch up... it might take me some time. We will start from the beginning of the summer.

Little Gym- we enrolled the kids in Little Gym this summer and it was the best place for them. They had the best time and the staff at our LG location were awesome!! The last 5 minutes of class the teacher would bring out the bubble machine. Emery LOVED the bubbles on her tummy. She would always life her shirt so that the bubbles would pop on her tummy. Now the kids love to do rolls all over the place. They take the couch cushions off and use them as mats for gym exercises. Then whenever we are in public they use handrails as bars to swing off of. My little monkies!!!

Lilly Pulitzer

Tuesday, August 20th was our first special event of the 2009-2010 Junior League year! Lilly Pulitzer was king enough to host (with plenty of food and drinks) a party for us. Of course, I couldn't leave without seeing the cutest outfits for Emery and me. Yes, matching outfits!! I have always wanted to match with my daughter and since Laura Ashley days (circa 1980's). I will post our matching outfits when I get a pic of us together.

Anyway, we had a great time and plan on having another event there in the spring.
